     Introduction to Field Research
Students form a hypothesis from discussed observations based on the differences between forest and field biomes and collect specified data sets, set out by the instructor.
  • 4 people per group
  • Information must be graphically represented and presented for comparison.
  • Open forum for corrections of methodology
     Animal Behavior and the Null Hypothesis
Groups of four, with one Zoo Tech student per group
  • Create question based off observation of trait or behavior of single animal species
  • Write out scientific methodology
  • Collect raw data
  • Interpret results with graphic representation  
     Managing Natural Resources for Development in Africa: A Resource Book
Chapter Notes and Presentation #1
  • One chapter per two people
  • Present 5 main points of assigned chapter
  • Draw and explain one chart/graph which best represents chapter
Chapter Notes and Presentation #2
  • Chapters rotated between groups of two
  • Choose a single Case Study
  • Create a graphical representation of the information
  • Present poster with discussion

  • Canvas neighborhood to complete six surveys per group
